Michael L. Hoyle

Chief Executive Officer of Business Aircraft Group, Aviation Holding Company and Charter Air Transport. Mr. Hoyle is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aviation Holding Company and he is also a Manager of Destination One, LLC, N652CT, LLC, and Business Air LLC.

The founder and President of Business Aircraft Group, Mr. Hoyle combines a successful entrepreneurial background with over 30 years of aviation management experience, including 10 years as Chief Pilot for Standard Oil/BP America. He has a strong background in optimizing the use and performance of aircraft fleets across multiple locations nationally and internationally, while at the same time delivering exceptional customer service.

In 1980, after serving as chief pilot and director of aviation for two other Cleveland, Ohio businesses, BP America (previously Standard Oil Co) recruited Mr. Hoyle as a line pilot and head of their aviation safety program. He was promoted to Chief Pilot within five years. During his tenure as BP America's Chief Pilot, Mr. Hoyle built up a strong rapport with the FAA, and developed the standards of flight department operation that form the core value proposition of Business Aircraft Group. The sheer size of BP's operations gave Mr. Hoyle the opportunity to complete many major projects. For example, during a seven-month period, he completely restructured BP Exploration's South American flight operations in Bogota, Columbia, eliminating inappropriate charter operators and aircraft by importing 2 King Air 200 aircraft and acquiring a large turboprop airliner (a Dash-8 200 series) that he assigned to shuttle workers to remote oil fields. In addition, Mr. Hoyle found it necessary to import five Bell 212 helicopters to replace local charter helicopters due to significant safety related concerns.

To accommodate the facility needs of the operations, he was intimately involved in planning and managing the construction of a gated, secured rotor and fixed wing aviation compound facility in Yopal, Columbia close to the oil fields, as well as a corporate hanger in Bogota for BP's shuttle operations. Mr. Hoyle also planned and managed the construction of 9 helicopter pads in the close proximity of each oil rig to accommodate medical lifts and crew changes. He completed this project as an expatriate, working in country the entire time. This particular project involved a fundamental re-thinking of the air transportation needs of a large organization working in a less than hospitable geographic region and was a good preparatory exercise for the development and implementation our business plan.

In 1994, Mr. Hoyle departed BP Oil to form Business Aircraft Group. During the last 12 years, he has developed Business Aircraft Group into a significant regional player in the turbine aircraft management, charter, sales, and fixed-base operations markets. Mr. Hoyle holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating, has over 10,000 flight hours in various corporate aircraft, and holds a BS in Aeronautical Science and Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle University.
